Hot Shots Java Coffeehouse is locally owned and operated by David & LeAnne Musgrove. Opening our doors for business in downtown Poulsbo in October 2003, our vision has always been to be a warm and welcoming place in the community where we live.

Along with our staff of eight, we continually strive to offer the highest quality products and service.

We offer organic, fair trade/shade grown coffee, a great pairing with our monin syrups, and Ghiradelli chocolate sauces. We search out suppliers in our area to keep our dollars local.

In 2008, Hot Shots Java won the first annual “Best of North Kitsap” for Coffee shop/Espresso, and A.J., (our manager and oldest son) took the # 1 barista title. In 2009, Hot Shots Java again took the title for best coffeeshop and espresso.  Unexpectedly, we also won all three best barista spots: AJ, Elisa, and Hayley. We are very proud of our awards, as it was the people that voted for us through the North Kitsap Herald, Kingston Community News, and local chambers of commerce.

We are dedicated to serving our community and giving back. Our latest efforts are for two very good causes. Our fishbowl inside Hot Shots is for our local food bank, Fishline. Donate one dollar, get a bag of goldfish crackers, all proceeds go to Fishline. Pat Momany of Tatu BBQ will be barbecuing at Hot Shots on Saturday's beginning mid April-June to raise money for his third trip overseas to barbecue for our troops.
